Adverse Impact

In November, the state of Tennessee's Department of Education put out a statement to remind families that your child may qualify for special education services even if they're receiving passing grades. Did you know that a student may have passing grades and still have an educational disability that could require special education services? Non-academic needs such as communication and behavior challenges must also be considered when determining eligibility for special education services.
